STINGRAYS

Did You Know?

Did you know that stingrays are closely related to sharks?

Both of these aquatic animals are in same group of cartilaginous fish. Meaning, instead of bones they are supported by skeletons of cartilage. Similar to sharks, stingrays use sensors call ampullae of Lorenzini to sense the electrical signals emitted by their prey.
